Are you crossing the globe to come and see us?
We’re thrilled and we’d like to help. On this page you’ll find a few more practical details about getting here and accommodation.
Getting to Amsterdam
You can get to Amsterdam any way you want (boat, train, walk, swim), but we recommend flying into Schiphol, Amsterdam.
Nearby airports that you could be flying into as well if you’re up for an extra train ride:
Eindhoven (NL) - 1h 30min by train from Amsterdam
Dusseldorf (DE) - 2h 30min by train from Amsterdam
Brussels (BE) - 2h 30min by train from Amsterdam
Paris (FR) - 1h 30min flight to Amsterdam (or 3h 30min train ride)
London (UK) - 1h 30min flight to Amsterdam (or 5h train ride)
Official train tickets shop NL - https://www.ns.nl/en
We also recommend using Skyscanner or Google Flights to track prices. Most travel sites recommend buying tickets 3-4 months in advance, but July is a popular month, so we suggest looking sooner.
Feel free to ask us if you have any questions or need help with anything!
Accommodation
Sadly our “crib” is quite modest so we won’t be able to accommodate you here. We do have some suggestions that could maybe help.
We will be staying at Basecamp for the wedding night. The place is super nice and literally right next to the venue. You’re welcome to book there as well! It’s just a bit on the pricier side and far from the center.
Low cost
We may have some friends with couches available. If that’s interesting to you, let us know!
Other cities
Other good options are cities near Amsterdam - for example, Haarlem and Utrecht are quite nice and they’re a short train ride away.
Zaandam is very close by — it’s nice (you’re near the windmills at Zaanse Schaans) but quite small. You’ll probably just use it as a base.
Camping
🏕️ There is also a campsite right next to the venue that has glamping or tiny houses available.
Medium cost
One option is to group up and share an airbnb (we don’t have many airbnbs in Amsterdam, but there are a few).
Hostels
Hostels can be a blast! (Be sure to ask Ben about his trip to London.)

Hotels
We have a few convenient hotels as well. We recommend:

High cost
If you want to get a really nice experience of the city, we recommend stay in areas like Jordaan, Center, Westerpark, Vondelpark.
Some nice hotels around there are:
